The holidays are just around the corner, and I will be celebrating the holidays as a breastfeeding mom this year, so I wanted to put together a list of amazing holiday lactation drinks, so you can boost your milk supply while being festive!
When I think of holiday drinks, I think of pumpkin spice lattes, hot cocoa, peppermint mocha and eggnog! I know not everyone is a fan of eggnog, but I love it!
These drinks are going to be healthier than your average holiday drink because I personally focus on good nutrition while breastfeeding to keep up milk supply. I am a huge proponent of nutrient-dense foods for milk supply, and filling your diet with all the foods to increase milk supply. I believe it is my diet that helps me lose the baby weight fast, while also keeping up a good supply.
I am just a few weeks postpartum now with my fourth baby, and I was so happy that this time I was able to get my milk supply to come in super fast this time. If you need help with your milk supply these tricks might help.
I also add a scoop of Milk Dust to lots of drinks, which blends really well with warm milk and adds so many lactation-boosting herbs and nutrients to anything!
Holiday Lactation Recipes To Celebrate With:
Gingerbread Latte by The Big Man’s World:
I love this recipe because it is super healthy, and full of spices rather than sugary/fake syrup flavors. The herbs and spices can be very beneficial for milk supply, and you can throw in a scoop of Milk Dust to add a bigger boost!
Chai Lactation Latte:
This is one my my weekly favorites! It is so easy to make, and full of lactation-boosting everything! I drink this when I’m not feeling a smoothie.
Gingerbread Lactation Shake:
I love this shake! It is a super yummy lactation shake that tastes like a ginger bread milk shake! Definitely a good one for celebrating.
Pumpkin Pie Lactation Smoothie:
This is a really fun one to have over Thanksgiving! You can even eat it with a spoon and some whipped cream, and it’s like eating pumpkin pie!
